is pleased to announce two spring concerts

of the

Pauline F. and W. David Robbins Foundation

Trust Music Series.

Martin Hargrove: Art Song: A Spiritual Legacy 

Sunday, April 30th

2 p.m.

in the George B. Todd Performance Hall (second floor)

 

  Opera singer and concert artist Martin Hargrove will perform

a program of Negro Spirituals and American Art Songs,

and discuss how Spirituals have influenced and shaped American music. 

Many of you will remember Martin as a member of the

American Spiritual Ensemble, who performed at DCA last September.

Tickets are $10 for DCA members and $12 for non-members.  Children under age of 12 are free when accompanied by an adult with paid admission.

Baroque to Broadway

John Wesley Wright, is known for his artistic and soulful interpretations of music.

  With a host of opera and oratorio roles, art songs, spirituals, and cabaret music in his repertoire,

Wright is also a member of the internationally acclaimed American Spiritual Ensemble.

Also performing will be extremely talented Salisbury University students.
