Dorchester Center for the Arts is pleased to announce this year’s Community Photography & Digital Arts Exhibition and Competition. The event was founded in 2005 by former DCA Board President Dr. Graham Slaughter and continues today to bring dozens of community members together in a friendly competition to show and sell their photographic works.

Judging is based on the following criteria: quality of photograph, originality, composition, and overall presentation. Cash awards will be presented at the Awards Ceremony on Saturday, August 10 in each of the three divisions and for Best Use of Light (one award for black and white and one for color). In addition, a DCA Gift Certificate will be presented for Best in Show, and ribbons will be awarded for People’s Choice and honorable mentions.

Join us for the Second Saturday Artists’ Reception and Awards Ceremony Saturday, August 10 from 5 – 7pm, with live music and light refreshments.
